TeresaOSTROWSKIUnexpectedly taken from us into 'God's loving Arms' on 16th December 2024.

Beloved mother of Marek and Basia, mother-in-law to Katrina and auntie to Krysia, Zosia, Ewa and Barbara.

Now reunited with husband Adam, parents Alexander and Rozalia, brother Felix, nephew Andrzej and the rest of the family.

A more gentle, loving, caring, generous, unselfish person you could not wish to meet.

She was so proud of her Polish roots. Having survived the second world war her heart was filled with joy when at the invitation of the British Government she arrived with her mother (along with many Polish families) in Southampton, England to be reunited with her father and brother.

Initially living with her family at RAF Colerne where her father was based. Her education restarted at Stowell Park Polish School and with the use of a Polish-English dictionary and her close English friend's help she taught herself English. She seemed to have an aptitude for it and her English became so good that she applied to Bath Technical College. After an interview she was accepted and successfully completed her course in English Literature, Book-keeping and Shorthand and Typing.

Subsequently she moved with her family to Coventry where she married and had two children. She stayed at home and brought her children up until they went to secondary school.

She then applied to 'The Alvis Company' for a job where her application was successful and went on to work for the Industrial Engineering Manager for many years. She made some great friends and loved her job.

She took early retirement to spend more time with her beloved husband Adam.

She had a long retirement with plenty of holidays but especially in her much loved Sandbanks and although there were challenges along the way she always managed to overcome them.

We will all miss her so very much but take great comfort from the fact that her faith was so strong and that as we write this she has already embarked on the next stage of her journey and is with God and her family and friends and is looking down on us with a radiant smile on her face.

Funeral at St. Stanislaus Kostka RC Church, Springfield Road, CV1 4GR on Wednesday 19th February at 11.00am. Flowers or donations for Blind Veterans UK or Guide Dogs for the Blind or the British Heart Foundation to A Pargetter & Son Ltd, Funeral Directors, City Mews, Lamb Street, Coventry CV1 4AE (Tel: 02476 223343)
